Student Dental and Vision Insurance Plans for the 2025-2026 School Year
We are pleased to offer University of Miami students and their dependents access to voluntary dental and vision insurance through MetLife and Superior Vision by MetLife. Enrollment is open to all students and you do not need to be enrolled in the USHIP plan to participate.
Fall: June 1 – December 15, 2025 (plan effective date August 1)
Spring: January 1 – May 15, 2026 (plan effective date February 1)
*Vision insurance always has an effective date of August 1 – July 31st. Enrollment aligns with the effective date and not the date of enrollment
**To use the MetLife Dental HMO you must provide a valid facility ID prior to the 20th of the month to appear on the next month’s roster. To select or update your provider, please login to your MetLife MyBenefits account.

The DHMO is a more affordable option with a large network of dentist in Florida. With two plan options, you should be able to find a plan and a provider that meets your needs.
