Student Dental and Vision Insurance Plans for the 2025-2026 School Year
We are pleased to offer University of Miami students and their dependents access to voluntary dental and vision insurance through MetLife and Superior Vision by MetLife. Enrollment is open to all students and you do not need to be enrolled in the USHIP plan to participate.
Fall: June 1 – December 15, 2025 (plan effective date August 1)
12 and 6-month plans available *
Spring: January 1 – May 15, 2026 (plan effective date February 1)
6-month plans only
*Please note that the fall 6-month enrollment is intended for students who plan to graduate after the first semester. Students requiring 12 months of coverage should opt for the full-year (annual) plan. Plan details, including Annual Max, Deductible, and Frequencies, will not reset if a student elects Fall 6-Month coverage and then re-enrolls for Spring 6-Month coverage.
**To use the MetLife Dental HMO you must provide a valid facility ID prior to the 20th of the month to appear on the next month’s roster. To select or update your provider, please login to your MetLife MyBenefits account.
